We welcome Gilly Conway as the new Chair of our Trustee Board.
Gilly has been Vice-Chair since 2019 and replaces Geoff Hope-Terry, who steps down having served the maximum term as Chair.
Commenting on the impact Geoff has made during his tenure, Gilly said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Geoff for his commitment to the role over the past five years. He has been an exemplary Chair, a strong advocate of CACW externally, always mindful of how we can best serve our clients, and incredibly supportive of everyone who contributes to running our services.
We are lucky to not lose him entirely and he will continue with us as an Associate Trustee, helping us with particular projects from time to time.”
Gilly is a freelance management consultant, working predominantly with NHS Trusts to help them improve their governance and leadership. She became a CACW Trustee in 2017 and based research for her MBA dissertation on our organisation.
On taking on the Chair, Gilly says: “I am committed to using my skills and expertise to support the CACW team develop its services for the future and further the charitable aims of the organisation. The services offered are so important and I am passionate about ensuring they remain relevant and useful for generations to come.”
Erica Morriss takes up the position of Vice-Chair. Kevin Barry and Boyd Hope joined the board as new trustees in June.
